2013 Casterton Business & Enterprise College

In 2013 CBEC students achieved a record breaking 67% 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths.

Nationally in 2012 the average was 58% for 5 A*-C including English and Maths so comparing it to that CBEC has achieved 9% improvement on that.

The 5 A*-C with English and Maths result should not be confused with the outdated performance measure of 5A*-C which gives a result for all students gaining 5 GCSE or equivalents at A*-C but not necessarily a C or above in English or Maths.

The Maths results for this year have also been absolutely fantastic with and outstanding 89% of students achieving a C or better. This is 32% above the national average for 2013. English also saw an increase with 70% of students achieving a good grade and the college being 7% higher than the national average for 2013.
